Four Baseball Players Ranked in NCAA Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Four student-athletes from the Moravian College baseball team are ranked nationally in the seventh NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2013 season, and the team is ranked in two statistical categories as well.

Sophomore third baseman Ryan Luke leads the team by being ranked in four statistical categories. Luke is tied for 21st in the nation with five sacrifice flies, and he is tied for 96th with three triples, tied for 73rd in RBIs per game with 1.07 per contest and tied for 97th in RBIs with 31.

Junior outfielder Joseph Connell is tied for 38th with four triples, and he is tied for 71st in triples per game at 0.13 while sophomore outfielder Matt Hanson is tied with Luke for 96th with three triples.

Junior pitcher Chris Soltys is tied for 91st in saves with three this season.

As a team, the Greyhounds are tied for 20th in triples with 14 and tied for 30th in triples per game at 0.44 per contest.

Moravian, which is 18-15 on the season and 8-7 in Landmark Conference action, is slated to return to action in its final home and non-conference game of the year versus Alvernia University on Wednesday, April 24th beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Gillespie Field.
