Four Greyhounds in Latest NCAA Division III Baseball Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Four student-athletes from the Moravian College baseball team are ranked nationally in the ninth NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2013 season, and the team is ranked in three statistical categories as well.

Sophomore third baseman Ryan Luke leads the team by being ranked in three statistical categories. Luke is tied for 39th in the nation with five sacrifice flies, and he is tied for 42nd in RBIs per game with 1.11 per contest and tied for 56th in RBIs with 41.

 Sophomore outfielder Matt Hanson is tied for 29th with five triples and tied for 44th in triples per game at 0.14 while junior outfielder Joseph Connell is tied for 64th with four triples.

Junior pitcher Chris Soltys is tied for 79th in the nation with four saves this season.

As a team, the Greyhounds are tied for 18th in triples with 17, tied for 31st in triples per game at 0.43 per contest and tied for 49th in sacrifice bunts with 35.

Moravian, which is 24-17 on the season and 10-8 in Landmark Conference action, captured the 2013 Landmark Conference Championship this past Monday and earned an automatic berth to the 2013 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. The Greyhounds will find out late on Sunday, May 12th the site of their second regional appearance in four years and their opponent for the opening round on Wednesday, May 15th.
