Greyhounds Begin 2020 with 13 Road Games Starting on February 22

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College baseball team is scheduled to begin the 2020 season with 13 straight road games including a three-game series at Hampden-Sydney (Va.) College on February 22-23.

The Hounds head to No. 5 Kean University on February 25, and then will travel to the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from March 1-6 with singles games versus New England College, the College of Saint Elizabeth, Johnson & Wales (R.I.) University and York College of Pennsylvania and doubleheaders against Bridgewater (Va.) College and Hilbert (N.Y.) College.

Moravian returns from its southern trip for another road non-conference game on Wednesday, March 13 at Rutgers-Camden. The Blue and Grey will start their 2020 Landmark Conference season and home season with a three-game series versus Drew University on March 14-15 at Gillespie Field. For the third straight season, the conference weekend series will consist of a doubleheader of one seven-inning game and one nine-inning game while the single contest on the second day of the series is a nine-inning contest.

The Greyhounds will host New Jersey City University on Tuesday, March 17 before heading back out on the road for the rest of March. The squad will travel to Montclair State University on March 18 before a Landmark Conference series at Elizabethtown College on March 21-22. The Hounds make a trip to Penn State-Berks on March 25 before finishing the month at Susquehanna University for a Landmark Conference series on March 28-29.

After being on the road for most of the first half of the season, Moravian begins April with seven straight contests at Gillespie Field. The Hounds will welcome Keystone College on April 1, Immaculata University on April 5, Albright College on April 7 and Rowan University on April 8 before finishing the home stand with a three-game Landmark Conference series with The Catholic University of America on April 10-11 that will flip the conference set with the single game on Friday and the doubleheader on Saturday of Easter weekend.

The Greyhounds' final nine games of the regular season will see five more road contest and four home games. The team travels to Alvernia University on April 14 before a home contest versus Penn State-Abington on April 15. The Blue and Grey head to The University of Scranton for a Landmark Conference series on April 18-19 before a night game at DeSales University on April 22 finishes the non-conference schedule. Moravian will conclude the regular season on April 25-26 with a Landmark Conference series versus Juniata College at Gillespie Field.

The Landmark Conference Tournament will be held May 8-10 at Scranton's turf field for a third consecutive year with a double-elimination format over the three days with the conference champion receiving an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
