TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore pitcher Eddie Olsen has been selected as the Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.

Olsen helped the Greyhounds begin their trip to the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with a 15-0 victory over New England College Sunday night. Olsen recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts while scattering two hits and a walk in six innings as he earned his first win of the season.

"Eddie had good start to our spring trip and he continued to build off of his performance last weekend to start the year," noted Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "He was a big reason for our second shutout of the year. We look for him to continue to grow during the rest of his sophomore season, and look forward to his future success on and off the field."

Moravian is slated to play Bridgewater (Va.) College in a doubleheader at the Ripken Experience on Monday, March 2 with first pitch set for 3:30 p.m.
