BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University baseball team is slated to begin the 2024 campaign on Tuesday, February 13 when the squad travels to Kean University for a non-conference game.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to host FDU-Florham in a non-conference doubleheader at Diamond Nation in Flemington, New Jersey on Saturday, February 17. The Blue & Grey then head off to the RussMatt Invitational at Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale, Florida for eight games over Spring Break. The trip starts with contests versus Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Indiana) on Wednesday, February 28 and Wartburg (Iowa) College on Thursday, February 29. The Hounds will face Gordon (Massachusetts) College for a doubleheader on Friday, March 1 and Marymount (Virginia) University for another doubleheader on Sunday, March 3. The Blue and Grey complete the week with single games versus Illinois College on Monday, March 4 and Penn State Abington on Tuesday, March 5.
The Hounds will continue to be on the road once returning north with non-conference doubleheaders at Salisbury (Maryland) University on Saturday, March 9 and Cabrini University on Saturday, March 16. Moravian is slated to begin the 2024 Landmark Conference season with a single game versus Drew University on Tuesday March 19 for the first game of the year at Gillespie Field.
The Greyhounds head back out on the road for a three-game Landmark Conference series at new conference opponent Wilkes University on March 23-24 before a single game at Elizabethtown College on Wednesday, March 27. The Blue & Grey finish the month of March with a conference series versus Lycoming College on March 29-30 in Bethlehem.
Moravian begins April on the road as well with a single game at Drew on Tuesday, April 2 and a weekend series at Susquehanna University on April 6-7. The Hounds head home for their longest homestand of the season, hosting eight Landmark Conference games at Gillespie Field. The homestand includes single games with Elizabethtown on Wednesday, April 10 and Drew on Tuesday, April 16 and weekend series with Juniata College on April 13-14 and The Catholic University of America on April 20-21.
The Greyhounds final five games of the year are scheduled to be on the road beginning with a non-conference contest at DeSales University on Tuesday, April 23. Moravian finishes its series at Elizabethtown on Wednesday, April 24 before completing the regular season with a series at The University of Scranton on April 27-28.
The 2024 Landmark Conference Tournament is expanded to a field of five teams with the addition of Lycoming and Wilkes to the conference. The tournament begins on Tuesday, May 7 with the fourth and fifth seeds competing in a play-in game. The remainder of the tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 10 at Scranton, and the conference champion of the double elimination tournament will receive an automatic berth to the 2024 NCAA Division III Tournament.
