Ratcliff Honored as Landmark Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore forward Marquis Ratcliff has been honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Ratcliff, who garnered his second Landmark Conference honor of the season, averaged 25.5 points and 15.0 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Greyhounds in Landmark Conference action. He shot 20-for-37 from the field, 2-for-5 on three-pointers and 9-for-14 at the foul line, and Ratcliff also had five blocked shots and four assists while playing 69 minutes. He had 25 points, 16 rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots in a 78-55 win over Goucher, and Ratcliff registered 26 points, 14 rebounds and three blocked shots in an 83-74 loss to Catholic. Ratcliff has double-doubles in three of his last four games and 11 career double-doubles.

"Marquis continues to work hard and help our team compete," commented Head Coach Darryl Keckler. "I am very proud of his play, but even more proud of his leadership development. He is starting to become a better leader and we will need that leadership going forward."

The Greyhounds, who are 3-5 overall and 1-3 in Landmark Conference action, are slated to return to action on Saturday, December 16 in a non-conference contest versus Keystone College tipping off at 3:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
