Head Golf Coach Kevin Edwards receives Golf Coaches Association of America Service Award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College Head Men's Golf Coach Kevin Edwards has received the Golf Coaches Association of America Service Award for 10 years of service at Moravian and to the sport of golf.

Edwards completed his tenth year as the head coach of the Moravian golf team in 2019-20. The Greyhounds finished as the runner-up at the 2015-16 Empire 8 Conference Championships and shot a school record low of 291 to win the Moravian Spring Invitational. Edwards was named the Empire 8 Conference Coach of the Year in 2014-15 and 2016-17.

Edwards is a 1996 graduate of Moravian College. He was a member of the 1994 undefeated MAC Championship Team and earned All-MAC honors in 1994 and 1996. In 2009-10, Edwards served as co-head coach with John Makuvek in the Greyhounds' inaugural season in the Empire 8 Conference.

Edwards has been a PGA Member for 20 years and served on several Philadelphia Section PGA board and committees including the education and membership committees. Edwards is currently the PGA Director of Golf at Olde Homestead Golf Club in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania. He previously served as the men's golf coach at Muhlenberg College for two seasons while an Assistant PGA Professional at Lehigh Country Club and led the 2004 team to a Centennial Conference title. He was selected to the Lehigh Valley Golf Hall of Fame in 2017.
