TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University men’s soccer team has had junior midfielder Hunter Shay and freshman defender Aidan McMillan named to the 2023 Landmark All-Conference Second Team while senior goalie Andrew Remias earned a spot on the Honorable Mention squad.

Moravian, led by sixth year Head Coach Bob Wilkinson, registered a 6-7-5 mark this fall including a 4-4-1 mark in Landmark Conference action as the Greyhounds played in the Landmark Conference Tournament First Round, the program’s first postseason appearance since 2019.

Shay led the Greyhounds with seven assists this fall, and he has recorded nine assists in his career at Moravian.

“Congratulations to Hunter Shay for being named to the Landmark Conference All Conference Second Team,” stated Wilkinson. “Hunter is a tireless worker and on the ball more than anyone on our team. He led the team in assists with seven. It is great to see him recognized for all his hard work.”

McMillan played in all 18 matches, working his way into the starting line-up after the first few weeks of the season, and he helped the Blue & Grey allow just 1.00 goals per game and post nine shutouts.

“Congratulations to Aidan McMillan for being named to the Landmark Conference All Conference Second Team,” noted Wilkinson. “Aidan is one of seven players to have played every game. He was inserted into the starting lineup after the seventh game of the season and basically never came out for the rest of the season. He and Vito Leone created a great partnership on the back line that made Moravian one of the best defenses in the Conference. It’s great to see Aidan recognized for his hard work this season.”

Remias recorded 65 saves, eight shutouts, which is second in program history for a single season, a 0.94 GAA and a 5-5-3 mark in 1,146 minutes this fall. Remias completed his career tied for fourth in program history with 12 shutouts, and he also had a 9-11-6 record, 119 saves and a 1.29 goals-against average in 2,450 minutes of 31 matches.

“Congratulations to Andrew Remias for being named to the Landmark Conference  Honorable Mention Team.” Wilkinson said. “Andrew had eight shutouts this year and a goals-against average of 0.94. He was near the top of every statistical category in the conference. His name already appears several times in the Moravian record book. It is great to see him recognized by the conference and we are excited to see what he does in the future.”
