Greyhounds Earn Another Win over Salve Regina, 6-3

FALMOUTH, Mass. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team posted its second straight win over Salve Regina University with a 6-3 victory at the Falmouth Sports Center Sunday.

The Seahawks had a 2-1 lead after the doubles action with wins at first and third doubles.  The Greyhounds earned an 8-1 win at second doubles from the senior tandem of Kevin Holze and Drew ShreterShreter is now four wins shy of the school career record for doubles wins of 41 and in fourth all-time while Holze is tied for fifth with 35 doubles victories.

Moravian then captured five of the six singles matches to improve to 2-0 on the year.  Senior Doug Morrow won in straight sets at first singles while Holze posted a straight sets victory at second singles.  Holze has 43 career singles wins, which is fifth all-time.  Shreter needed two sets for his win at third singles, the 39th of his career and sixth in the school record books.  Freshman Lewis Cooper improved to 2-0 with a straight sets win at fourth singles while junior Brad Kutcha earned a straight sets win at fifth singles. 

The Greyhounds now have nearly a month off before their next match when the squad will play its home opener in a non-conference match versus Gwynedd-Mercy College starting at 4:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts in Bethlehem.
