Greyhounds Win Five of Six Singles Matches to Rally Past Muhlenberg

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis squad won five of six singles matches to rally past rival Muhlenberg College, 6-3, in non-conference action Thursday afternoon as the Greyhounds won their seventh consecutive contest.

How It Happened

  • The Mules led 2-1 after the doubles action with Moravian picking up an 8-3 win at second doubles from the tandem of sophomore Shayaan Farhad and freshman Gavin Labbadia
  • The Hounds knotted the match at 2-2 as Labbadia finished first with a 6-4, 6-2 win at fourth singles. Muhlenberg captured the first singles contest to move back ahead 3-2 before Moravian won the final four singles matches. Junior Ronny Pimentel Ferrer tied the match again at 3-3 with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at third singles while sophomore Matthew Labosky put the Blue & Grey into the lead with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at sixth singles. Junior Wyatt Marshall captured the winning team point after rallying for a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (11-9) triumph at second singles. Sophomore Ryan Burke finished off the contest with a 6-4, 7-5 win at fifth singles
  • When the two squads met back on September 20 to open the 2023-24 season, the Mules topped Moravian 8-1 in Bethlehem
