TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore Shayaan Farhad has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Farhad had an undefeated week as the Greyhounds won a pair of Landmark Conference matches to extend the team's winning streak to 11. Farhad went 2-0 in both singles and doubles contests as Moravian defeated Juniata College, 5-4, and Lycoming College, 9-0. Farhad and junior Anthony Ronca had a pair of 8-1 wins at first doubles over the weekend, and Farhad posted a three-set win against the Eagles and a straight set victory versus the Warriors.

"Shayaan had an unbelievable performance this past weekend, especially in his singles match on Saturday," noted Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas. "It amazes me that he's capable of playing at such a high level while fasting for Ramadan."

The Hounds, who are 12-2 overall and 3-0 in Landmark Conference action on the season, are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, March 30 when the squad travels to The Catholic University of America for a Landmark Conference match beginning at 1:00 p.m.
