MADISON, N.J. --- The third seeded Moravian University men's tennis team fell to second seed and host Drew University, 5-1, in a Landmark Conference Tournament Semifinal Friday afternoon to end the 2023-24 season.

How It Happened

  • The Rangers won all three doubles matches for an early 3-0 advantage
  • Drew captured the fourth singles contest to move ahead 4-0. Freshman Gavin Labbadia made it 4-1 with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at fifth singles. The victory was 20th of the year for Labbadia as he became just the third player in program history to win 20 or more singles contests in a single season as he finished his debut season at 20-1. The Rangers finished off the match with a victory at first singles
  • In the postseason, a match ends when the fifth points is achieved so the remaining three singles matches are unfinished
  • Moravian finished the year with a school record 17 victories, surpassing the mark of 16 set a year ago. The Blue &Grey have 33-10 record over the last two seasons with a pair of appearances in the Landmark Conference Semifinals
