Hounds Post Three AARTFC Qualifying Marks at Lehigh Mountain Hawk Opener

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's indoor track & field squad posted three All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Conference qualifying marks on the second day of the Lehigh University Mountain Hawk Opener at Rauch Fieldhouse Saturday. 

Moravian Top 5/Finals Results

  • Freshman Javon McKay finished second in the 60-meter dash finals in an AARTFC qualifying time of 7.00 seconds after a preliminary time of 7.04 seconds to win his heat. Sophomore Jacob Fenstermaker placed fifth in the finals in 7.06 seconds after a personal best time and AARTFC qualifying time of 7.02 seconds to win his preliminary heat while junior Trevor Gray took seventh in 7.10 seconds after capturing his preliminary heat in an AARTFC qualifying time of 7.07 seconds
  • McKay was also the runner-up in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.35 seconds while junior Owen Sabastro finished fifth in 23.57 seconds
  • Freshman Jordan Gagner placed fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:04.32 while senior Paul Petre was fifth in 2:05.39

Moravian Finishers

  • Senior Matt Shea finished seventh in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.80 seconds while Fenstermaker took 14th in 24.22 seconds. sophomore Liam Maguire placed 21st in a time of 24.59 seconds while sophomore Josh Swain was 22nd at 24.62 seconds and junior Jason Gartner took 24th in 24.71 seconds  
  • Sophomore Jackson Royds was seventh in the 800-meter dash in 2:07.07 while sophomore Kevin Hess took 13th in a time of 2:21.64
  • Swain placed ninth in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.16 seconds while Maguire finished 15th in 9.54 seconds and freshman Mael Tshiyonga was a spot back in 16th in a time of 9.67 seconds
  • Sabastro was tenth in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash in 7.20 seconds while Shea took 13th in a time of 7.25 seconds. Gartner placed 19th in 7.37 seconds while freshman Damian De Los Santos Suriel was 37th in 8.34 seconds
  • Freshman Anthony Morillo was 17th in the shot put with a mark of 11.47 meters (37-7.75)
