HAGERSTOWN, Md. --- The Moravian University women's golf squad competed in the opening round of the Cardinal Classic hosted by The Catholic University of America at the Black Rock Golf Club. 

How It Happened

  • The Hounds are competing as individuals in the tournament
  • Host Catholic leads the seven scoring squads with an opening round of 303

Moravian Results

  • Freshman Heidi Wegscheider led Moravian on the first day with an 81 on the par 72 course that included two birdies and seven pars to put her in a tie for 12th of the 47 golfers
  • Freshman Ella Oswald recorded a 95 with an eagle, a birdie and a par on Saturday
  • Freshman Alivia Zagra had a round of 101 with a trio of pars
