Seven Hounds Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll  and Team Earns Honors Squad

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. --- The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association has named the Moravian University women's lacrosse program as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad and seven of its student-athletes to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday afternoon.

For a team to qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. Moravian joins five other Landmark Conference institutions and is one of 326 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2021-22 academic year.

Honorees for IWLCA Academic Honor Roll must be juniors, seniors or graduate students, and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. The Division III Academic Honor Roll included 1,099 student-athletes from 193 different institutions including 35 from Landmark Conference schools, including Moravian's seven.

Seniors Jamie Bader, Eirean Perst and Lindsey Strohl, along with juniors Megan Donnelly, Brelyn Friedman, Devin King and Olivia Schmid were selected to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll for their work in the classroom.

Bader graduated with a degree in health science and pre-occupational therapy track while Perst completed her psychology degree in early childhood education and Strohl finished with a degree in sociology and a concentration in early childhood education.

Donnelly and Friedman are both in the nursing program, while King is studying health science on a pre-physical therapy track and Schmid is majoring in accounting.
