Women's Soccer Falls to Otterbein

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Moravian College women's soccer team fell to Otterbein University, 3-0, Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals scored three minutes into the contest freshman forward Megan McCabe off an assist from senior forward Molly Kroger. Freshman midfielder Megan Mills added a second goal in the 32nd minute off a corner kick from McCabe to put Otterbein 2-0 going into halftime.

The Cardinals added their third goal five minutes into the second half when Kroger put a difficult shot in the back of the net. Freshman midfielder Brittany Nicoline would threaten two minutes later by putting a shot on goal, but freshman goalkeeper Dana Strimbu made the tough save.

Junior goalkeeper Genevieve Chaleff made three saves in 90 minutes while her counterpart Strimbu made one save in 90 minutes.

The Greyhounds take on Alvernia University in the Penn State-Altoona Tournament. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m.
