BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer team earned its fourth straight shutout victory with a 2-0 win over visiting Lancaster Bible College in non-conference action Monday evening on John Makuvek Field.
How It Happened
- The Hounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in just the eighth minute of action as junior forward Emma Lenthe headed in a corner kick by freshman midfielder Chelsea Meltzer
- Moravian doubled the advantage to 2-0 with just 1:27 until the intermission when senior midfielder Amanda Meinster converted on a penalty kick into the lower left side of the net
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian finished the night with a 28-5 advantage in shots and a 6-0 edge in corner kicks
- The Greyhounds used a trio of goalies in the team's fifth shutout of the season with sophomore Payce Korpics playing the first 30 minutes with one save to earn the victory. Sophomore Paige Harrison was on the pitch for 32 minutes and did not need to make a save while freshman Abigail Brunell made her collegiate debut in the final 28 minutes with a pair of saves
- Lenthe's goal was the first of her career with the Hounds while Meltzer added her third assist of the season
- Meinster also found the net for her first career goal at Moravian
