Greyhounds Shutout by Swarthmore in First Road Match of the Season

SWARTHMORE, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer squad went on the road for the first time this season after opening the year with four-straight home matches, suffering a 2-0 loss to Swarthmore College in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened

  • The Garnet scored the lone goal of the first half in the 36th minute with the Greyhounds attempting just one shot
  • In the second half, the Blue and Grey attempted another shot, but Swarthmore was able to find the back of the net in the 71st minute to put the game at its final score of 2-0

Inside the Numbers

  • The Greyhounds attempted two shots on the night and earned a corner kick
  • Junior goalie Payce Korpics recorded four saves while playing the first 45 minutes of the contest while junior goalie Paige Harrison registered five saves in the second half
