MADISON, N.J. --- The Moravian University women's soccer squad fell to host Drew University, 2-1, in Landmark Conference action Saturday evening.

How It Happened

  • The Rangers opened the scoring in the 17th minute, and Drew found the net again in the 40th minute to head to the intermission with a 2-0 edge
  • The Greyhounds got into the scoreboard in the 84th minute when sophomore defender Cori Pursel drove a hard shot into the upper right corner of the net off of pass from senior forward Emma Lenthe
  • Moravian was unable to find the equalizer in the remaining six minutes of action

Inside the Numbers

  • Pursel's goal was the first of her career at Moravian while Lenthe recorded her second career assist and first of the 2022 season
  • Junior goalie Payce Korpics made a career-high nine saves in the match
  • Drew recorded a 21-7 advantage in shots while both squads had two corner kicks in the match
