SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's swimming squad participated in a double dual meet hosted by The University of Scranton that also included Misericordia University. The Hounds fell to the host Royals, 219-22, and the Cougars, 206-31.
How It Happened
- Freshman Sarah Mazzetti recorded a time of 1:24.97 in the 100-yard breaststroke, and she posted a time of 3:07.77 in the 200-yard breaststroke. Mazzetti had a time of 2:45.44 in the 200-yard individual medley
- Junior Jaelyn Mitchell swam a time 2:42.59 in the 200-yard butterfly, and she recorded a time of 1:02.43, and she was a time of 2:40.46 in the 200-yard individual medley
- Freshman Catie Lovett posted a time 1:10.53 in the 100-yard backstroke, and she was sixth in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.15 seconds. Lovett had a time of 1:02.04 in the 100-yard freestyle
- Junior Marissa Werner had a time 1:12.93 in the 100-yard backstroke, and she swam the 50-yard freestyle in 28.25 seconds. Werner also posted a time of 2:46.78 on the 200-yard breaststroke
- Junior Sydney Steere swam a time 1:29.35 in the 100-yard backstroke, and she completed the 50-yard freestyle in 32.59 seconds
- The quartet of Lovett, Mazzetti, Mitchell and Werner swam a time of 2:05.87 in the 200-yard medley relay to place fifth
