TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior Catie Lovett has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Lovett captured first place the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.17 seconds, and she also won the 200-yard backstroke in a school record time of 2:24.65, taking two tenths of a second off her previous record as the Greyhounds fell to Lycoming College, 82-55, in the final dual meet of the 2023-24 season. Lovett swam the anchor leg of the Hounds' 200-yard freestyle relay that finished first in 1:56.70.

"We're very proud of Catie for being named Conference Swimmer of the week following our last dual meet of the season," exclaimed first-year Director of Swimming Matt Easterday. "Catie has been under the weather the past few days so for her to do what she did on Saturday bodes well for how she'll swim in two weeks at the Landmark Championships and we can't wait!"

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to the pool on Thursday, February 15 for the opening day of the four-day 2024 Landmark Conference Championships at Loyola (Md.) University.
