Moravian Remains Tenth after Second Day of Landmark Championships

BALTIMORE, Md. --- The Moravian University women's swimming squad remained tenth after the second day of the 2024 Landmark Conference Championships at the Loyola (Md.) University Mangione Aquatic Center Friday.

How It Happened

  • Junior Catie Lovett swam a school record time of 25.52 seconds in "B" finals of the 50-yard freestyle finals to earn five points for the Hounds. Lovett was fourth in the race, and she was 13th the preliminaries in a time of 25.82 seconds, which had taking three-hundredths of a second off the school record
  • Junior Sarah Mazzetti recorded a season-best time of 2:40.46 as she finished 26th in the 200-yard individual medley preliminaries
  • Junior Lydia Devlin posted a personal best time of 26.39 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle preliminaries to place 21st. Devlin won her heat of the prelims
  • Freshman Mia Espinal finished 33rd in the 500-yard freestyle preliminaries in a time of 7:07.22
  • The Hounds have 27 points after two days of competition
