Hounds Score in Pair of Events at Landmark Conference Championships

BALTIMORE, Md. --- The Moravian University women's swimming team scored in two events and are tenth overall after the third day of the 2024 Landmark Conference Championships at the Loyola (Md.) University Mangione Aquatic Center Saturday. 

How It Happened

  • Junior Catie Lovett swam a school record time of 1:04.66 in the preliminaries of the 100-yard backstroke to reach the "B" finals in 16th place. Lovett posted a time of 1:04.74 in the finals to finish 16th to earn a point
  • Junior Sarah Mazzetti just missed making the finals in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 5:38.34, placing 17th in the prelims
  • Freshman Mia Espinal finished 22nd in the 200-yard freestyle preliminaries in a season-best time of 2:34.58
  • Lovett, Mazzetti, Espinal and junior Lydia Devlin combined for a season-best time of 1:51.49 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The time is the third-best in program history and earned the Greyhounds 14 points
  • The Hounds have 42 points after three days of competition
