TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman Leah Zolotareva has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Zolotareva had an undefeated week to start her collegiate campaign as the Greyhounds went 2-0 in the first week of the 2023-24 season with sweeps of Muhlenberg College and Elizabethtown College. Zolotareva combined with freshman Ali Bender for a pair of doubles victories at first doubles, and she also won both her first singles contests.

"Leah is a great addition to our team," stated Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas. "She had a terrific first week getting two wins in singles and doubles in her first two matches played at the collegiate level. I look forward to watching her on the court these next couple of weeks to finish off our fall season."

Moravian, which is 2-0 overall and 1-0 in Landmark Conference action, is slated to return to action on Saturday, September 30 in a non-conference contest at NCAA Division II Kutztown University of Pennsylvania starting at 10:30 a.m.
