MEDIA, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's tennis team shut out Penn State Brandywine, 9-0, in non-conference action Sunday for the Greyhounds fifth straight victory.

How It Happened

  • The Hounds earned wins in doubles with 8-1 scores from the tandems of senior Emily Masters and freshman Sydney Shifman at second doubles and senior Mara Stapleton and Izzy Szmodis at first doubles
  • In singles action, senior Megan O'Brien clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fifth singles while Masters finished next with a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. Freshman Ali Bender added a 6-1, 6-4 triumph at second singles while senior Gabby Martin recorded a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fourth singles. Freshman Leah Zolotareva finished off the contest with a 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-3) win at first singles
  • The Blue & Grey earned forfeit points at third doubles and sixth singles with Penn State Brandywine only having five players available for the match
