Moravian Women Finish 19th at ECAC Division III Indoor Championships

NEW YORK, N.Y. --- Junior Micah Leonard of the Moravian College women's indoor track & field team placed fifth in the long jump on the second day of the 2012 ECAC Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Rutgers-Newark at the New York City Armory Saturday as the Greyhounds finished 19th of 57 teams.

Moravian scored a total of 14.33 points in the meet with Leonard picking up four points Saturday.  Massachusetts Institute of Technology captured the ECAC title with 56.33 points while Amherst College was second with 46 points.

Leonard had a long jump of 5.35 meters (17 feet, 6 3/4 inches) that placed her fifth in the competition while sophomore Allison Vanek was 13th with a leap of 5.05 meters (16 feet, seven inches).

On the track in the second day of competition, freshman Brielle Sutter turned in the fifth best time in school history in the 400-meter dash as she plaecd 13th in 59.16 seconds.  Sutter was also 23rd in the 200-meter dash in 26.63 seconds while senior Lisa Williamson took 12th in the 200-meter dash in 26.32 seconds.
