Groff Sets Moravian & Landmark Record in High Jump at Widener

CHESTER, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's outdoor track & field squad competed in the Widener University Last Chance Qualifying meet Monday with two regional qualifying marks and a school and conference record. 

Moravian Finishers

  • Senior Lexi Groff was the runner-up in the high jump at an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying height as well as a Moravian and Landmark Conference record height of 1.68 meters (5-6). Groff's height better the program record by an inch
  • Senior Vicky Donovan placed fourth in the javelin with a mark of 33.44 meters (109-8)
  • Sophomore Ali Haefele took sixth in the triple jump with an AARTFC qualifying leap of 11.03 meters (36-2.25)
  • Junior Caillie Fish finished 11th in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.46 meters (142-7)
  • Sophomore Shai Knight placed 11th in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:00.87 while freshman Rachele Grigoli was 12th at 1:00.88
  • Sophomore Sarah Rice took 26th in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:35.44
