Moravians Falls to Franklin & Marshall

The Moravian College women's volleyball team was defeated by Franklin & Marshall in three games (23-25, 18-25, 20-25) Saturday afternoon. Freshman Kellianne Comitalo led the way for the Greyhounds with 10 kills, 12 digs and ace.

Sophomore Kelly Brown led Moravian with 30 assists, 16 digs and three aces. Junior Jesse Krasley showed off her defensive skills with 24 digs, she now has 1,145 career digs, which moves her into fourth place all-time.

Junior Samantha Savite had a solid game with eight kills. Classmate JeanAnne Carey had seven digs to go with her four kills.

Seniors Katie Moquete, pictured, and Ashley Schmidt both had solid games combining for 14 digs.

The Greyhounds return to action Tuesday, September 20 when they take on rival Muhlenberg College in the Matte Award Contest. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Muhlenberg.
