Greyhounds Drop Cedar Crest, 3-0

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College volleyball team defeated Cedar Crest College, 3-0, Thursday night. The Greyhounds won by scores of 25-7, 25-15 and 25-13.

Freshman middle blocker Victoria Bobyak led the way with 11 kills and two blocks. Junior setter Kelly Brown tallied 21 assists and 11 digs while classmate middle blocker Brittany O'Hara had five blocks and five kills.

Freshman outside hitter Lauren Hostetler and six kills and two digs while classmate defensive specialist Michelle Ciccone finished with four service aces and 11 digs. Freshman setter Megan Szkolnicki had six assists while senior libero Jesse Krasley tallied up five digs, three kills and two assists.

Senior right-side hitter Samantha Savite totaled four kills, three blocks and two aces while junior right-side hitter Katelynn Strohl put up four kills, three blocks and two digs. Senior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey had five digs and a kill while sophomore outside hitter Kelianne Comitalo finished with two kills and a dig.

The Falcons were led by sophomore setter Debra Lobien, who had 17 assists, eight digs and two kills. Sophomore outside hitter Jessica Lobien had 11 digs and five kills while junior outside hitter Amber Wehry tallied up six kills.

The Greyhounds return to action this weekend as they host the second Landmark Conference Round Robin weekend. Moravian takes on Susquehanna University at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 13th in Johnston Hall.
