Greyhounds Drop Non-Conference Match at Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball team fell to Cedar Crest College on the road in straight sets on Friday evening.

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds and Falcons went started off exchanging points, but Cedar Crest pulled away for the 25-19 win
  • Cedar Crest and Moravian continued to battle back and forth, trading points until the conclusion of the second set that saw the Falcons take a 2-0 lead with a 25-23 victory
  • Similar to the second set, both squads fought for every point with series of rallies. The Greyhounds and Falcons would exchange the lead but Cedar Crest would tally the final points to take down Moravian in straight sets with a 25-23 win in set three

Inside the Numbers

  • Senior outside hitter Sela Herber led the Greyhounds with 12 kills followed by senior outside hitter Kirah Dreisbach who downed 11 attacks for kills. Herber finished with five digs, an assist and an service ace while Dreisbach concluded the night leading the Hounds with 17 digs, two aces and three assists
  • Junior setter Natalia Matos led the Greyhounds with 29 assists and two service aces while adding four 12 digs and three kills.
  • Freshman middle blocker Jenna Deegan ended with six kills and a dig while junior libero Gabby Mancini also recorded double digits in digs with 13 and contributed two assists and a services ace
