ASTON, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball team fell to Ursinus College, 3-0, in the squad's final match at the Neumann University Knights Invitational Saturday morning.
How It Happened
- The Bears jumped out to an early 6-1 lead in the opening set, and earned a 25-10 victory to take a 1-0 lead
- The Greyhounds were up 5-3 in the second game, but Ursinus rallied with a long pair of runs to earn a 25-14 set win
- The Bears finished off the contest with a 25-21 victory in set three, scoring nine of the final 13 points after Moravian led 17-16
Inside the Numbers
- Graduate student outside hitter Kat Wilt paced the Blue & Grey with seven kills to go with four digs while freshman outside hitter Gabbie Reigner contributed five kills and three digs
- Junior outside hitter Jenna Deegan, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, and freshman middle blocker Payton Reuber both recorded three kills with Reuber adding three blocks while senior middle blocker Autumn Marrero and freshman outside hitter Kelly Tempalsky each had a pair of kills with Tempalsky adding two digs
- Sophomore setter Ally Plitnick led the Moravian offense with 15 assists t go along with 11 digs while freshman setter Molly Hughes had four
- Senior defensive specialist Allie Ludlow posted eight digs while freshman defensive specialist Sam Love added seven digs and senior defensive specialist Kat DeYesso recorded four digs
