BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University junior outside hitter Jenna Deegan and sophomore setter Ally Plitnick have been named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Team for NCAA Division III schools.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve that has played in 90 percent of the team's contest or started 66 percent of the team's games in 2023. Moravian has had 56 Greyhounds named CSC Academic All-Americans®.

Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The CSC Academic All-America® teams will be announced Tuesday, January 9.

The duo helped the Greyhounds to a 10-15 mark this year.

Deegan, an early childhood education major with a 3.65 GPA, started 20 of the 25 matches in goal this fall for Moravian, and she had a team-high 163 kills to go along with 41 digs, 33 blocks and four assists. In her career, Deegan has seen action in 285 sets over 81 matches, and she has recorded 582 kills, 177 digs, 111 blocks, 22 assists and 14 service aces. Deegan will be a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Plitnick, an environmental science and public health dual major with a 4.00 grade-point average, saw action in 24 matches this season with 21 starts while leading the Blue & Grey with 449 assists to go along with 213 digs, 40 kills, 27 service aces and 19 blocks. Plitnick has played in 111 sets over 40 matches in her two seasons, and she has registered 484 assists, 262 digs, 47 kills, 35 service aces and 20 blocks for the Greyhounds. She will be a member of the 2023 Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
