Kennedy, Mills & Walters Selected as 2021 Moravian Football Captains

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University Football team has selected seniors Ryan Kennedy, Christopher Mills and Romello Walters as captains for the 2021 season.

"I am extremely excited for Romello, Ryan and Chris to be elected captains for the 2021 season," said Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "This is a team vote and it shows the high regard that their teammates have for them. All three have been outstanding individuals in the community, classroom, and on the field. They carry themselves with class and set the bar high for the work ethic they display. I am looking forward to watching them continue to grow with their teammates this season."

Kennedy, an offensive lineman, looks to challenge for one of the opening spots on the Greyhounds' offensive line this season after serving as a reserve during the beginning of his career.

Mills, a two-year starter at quarterback, has completed 248-of-427 passes in his career for 3,138 yards to go with 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 16 games. He has a career long pass of 84 yards, and Mills has run for 36 yards and two touchdowns for Moravian.

Walters, a defensive back, has 18 career tackles with ten solo stops to go along with one tackle for loss and three passes defended including an interception he returned 79 yards for a touchdown. Walters began his Moravian career as a wide receiver and caught four passes for 30 yards.

The Hounds are slated to start the 2021 campaign on Saturday, September 4 with a non-conference game at King's College beginning at 12:00 p.m. in Wilkes-Barre.
