BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation had 186 of its student-athletes receive Dean’s Honors List accolades from the College for achieving a 3.50 or higher grade-point average during the 2021 Spring semester.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation welcomed 71 student-athletes into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, in the Greyhounds’ fourth year with the organization Thursday in Johnston Hall.
TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference has named 45 student-athletes including six from Moravian College to the 2020-21 Fall All-Sportsmanship Team. The All-Sportsmanship Team includes one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team.
GILBERT, Ariz. --- Thirteen student-athletes from the Moravian College field hockey team have been selected to the 2020 ZAG/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Squad announced by the NFHCA while sophomore Emily Wells and freshman Bekkah Kehoe were named as a ZAG/NFHCA Scholar of Distinction.
TOWSON, Md. – After a scheduled meeting of the Landmark Conference Presidents Council, the council agreed to maintain the current ‘no spectator policy’ in place for all Landmark contests through Sunday, April 4.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next alum in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Series is former field hockey student-athlete Stacee Cupples from the Class of 2006. Cupples was named to the Commonwealth All-Conference Second Team in both 2004 and 2005, and she graduated with 83 career points on 31 goals and 21 assists, a school record when she completed her career and now second. Cupples also set the school record with 11 assists in 2004, a program record that still stands.

Wells has scored five goals and an assists in 17 matches on the field hockey turf, and she helped the women's indoor 4x200-meter relay team finish third in the 2020 Landmark Conference Indoor Championships on the track.

As consistent with all decisions at the conference level, the safety and well-being of student-athletes remains the primary goal of the Landmark Conference.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next alum in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Series is former field hockey and softball student-athlete Audrey Weaver from the Class of 1998. Weaver is the school record holder for the field hockey program in career goals with 46 and points with 112, and she is tied for third with 20 career assists. Weaver was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Commonwealth League First Team as a forward in 1997 and the Second Team in 1996. On the softball field, Weaver collected 144 hits as the Greyhounds' starting third baseman, and she was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-East Region Third Team in 1998, and the MAC All-Commonwealth League First Team in 1998 and Second Team in 1997.
TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference announced its 2020 Fall Academic Honor Roll selections today, with 525 student-athletes receiving recognition including 59 from Moravian College. The Honor Roll recognizes all fall student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next current student-athlete in Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation Get to Know Series is field hockey student-athlete Ashley Kunsman '21. Kunsman was named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in 2019, and she is a two-time honoree on the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll while making the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad three times. Kunsman has 429 saves and five shutouts in over 3,200 minutes in goal for the Greyhounds.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next coach in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Coach series is Head Field Hockey Coach Sarah Dalrymple, who is in her first year with the Greyhounds. Dalrymple joined the department in February 2020 and comes to Moravian after four years as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I Lafayette College.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2020 senior student-athletes with its Senior Athletics Award video that debuted on Sunday, August 16. Women’s basketball standout Maddie Capuano and women’s track & field/cross country runner Carly Danoski were named the Co-Outstanding Senior Female Athletes while baseball player Ian Csencsits and men’s track & field/cross country runner Greg Jaindl were honored with the Co-Outstanding Senior Male Athletes. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to Danoski and football player Sal Pagano.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Today, Moravian College announced that in the absence of a fall sports schedule, in both the Landmark Conference and Centennial Conference (football), the Athletic Department will work with other colleges and universities to schedule scrimmages for teams and players interested in competing in their respective sports.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation will celebrate the accomplishments of their 2020 senior class with a virtual celebration on Sunday, August 16 with the Senior Athlete Awards show as a video beginning at 6:00 p.m. The banquet, which is typically hosted in May, was postponed because of COVID-19 and due to the continued pandemic has been moved to a virtual event.
