MIDDLETOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's soccer team opened the 2019 season with a 1-0 shutout at Penn State-Harrisburg Friday afternoon.

The Greyhounds scored the matches' lone tally in the 22nd minute when sophomore midfielder Anthony Nagy converted a penalty kick into the lower right back corner of the net. The shot was the Hounds' second shot of the contest coming two minutes after junior forward Ethan Blakely put a shot on the Lions' keeper. Moravian finished the contest with seven shots including two on goal from sophomore forward Safa Turkdonmez.

Junior goalie Michael Bone made five saves for his second career shutout.

"We are very happy with the win," commented second-year Head Coach Bob Wilkinson. "Penn State Harrisburg is a very good team and they are excellent attacking. Mike Bone was strong in the net and Akinori Mollenthiel led the back line. Anthony Nagy was taken down for a penalty in the first and calmly finished the PK. Credit to the guys for battling the whole game. We look forward to tomorrow's game against Lancaster Bible."

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, August 31 with a non-conference match at Lancaster Bible College beginning at 2:00 p.m.
