Hounds Open 2019 Slate on John Makuvek Field on August 30

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey squad is set to open the 2019 season on Friday, August 30 with a non-conference match versus DeSales University on John Makuvek Field at 4:00 p.m.

The Greyhounds will hit the road just over 24 hours after the season opener with a trip to Ramapo College of New Jersey on Saturday, August 31 for the first of seven evening contests in 2019. The Blue and Grey make a trip to Immaculata University on Wednesday, November 4 before returning to John Makuvek Field on Saturday, September 7 to host William Paterson University. The Hounds are slated to travel to Delaware Valley University on Wednesday, September 11 before finishing off a tripleheader on Family Day as the squad welcomes Albright College to John Makuvek Field on September 14.

Moravian heads out on the road the following week with non-conference matches at Wilkes University on September 18 and Cedar Crest College on September 21. The Greyhounds' final tune-up before the Landmark Conference season begins is a non-conference contest versus Lancaster Bible College on September 24. The squad makes the long trip to Juniata College on September 28 to start the Landmark Conference campaign.

The month of October sees the Hounds play five of seven matches at John Makuvek Field beginning with rival Muhlenberg College coming to Bethlehem on October 1. Moravian then has four straight Landmark Conference contests with home matches versus Susquehanna University on October 5, The University of Scranton on October 12 and Elizabethtown College on October 16 before heading to Drew University on October 19. The Greyhounds finish off their non-conference slate with a trip to Marywood University on October 23 before celebrating Senior Day on October 26 when the squad hosts The Catholic University of America. The Blue and Grey close out the regular season at Goucher College on November 2.

The Hounds aim to qualify for the 2019 Landmark Conference Tournament that begins with the semifinals on Wednesday, November 6 and the finals slated for Saturday, November 9 at the highest remaining seeds' home field.
