Kunsman Selected to Landmark Field Hockey All-Conference Second Team

Ashley Kunsman Named to Landmark Field Hockey All-Conference Second Team.

TOWNSON, Md. --- Moravian College junior goalie Ashley Kunsman has been selected to the 2019 Landmark Field Hockey All-Conference Second Team for her performance this season.

Kunsman recorded a 2.34 goals-against average with one shutout, five victories and 132 saves in 923 minutes of action this fall while starting all 17 matches for the Greyhounds. Over the last three seasons, Kunsman has started 52 matches for the Blue and Grey with a 2.33 goals-against average, five shutouts, 10 wins and 429 saves in 3,220 minutes of action. She ranks third in school history in saves, sixth with a .774 save percentage, sixth in minutes played, tied for seventh in shutouts, eighth in goals-against average and eighth in victories heading into her senior season.

"This award has been three years in the making for Ashley," commented Head Coach Kristen Powers. "She has been the starter and backbone of our defense, and has proven herself in the Landmark Conference each year. This season she yet again was the solid force in the back and truly lead her team to our conference victories. Ashley is a great teammate and leader and well deserving of this honor.:

Kunsman is one of 13 players expected to return next fall for the Hounds when preseason practice begins in August.
