Greyhounds Win Three Events in Double Dual Meet at Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's swimming squad captured three events in a double dual meet at Cedar Crest College with Immaculata University Saturday. The Greyhounds fell to the Mighty Macs, 131-78, and the Falcons, 136-81. 

How It Happened

  • Sophomore Sarah Mazzetti took first in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 3:01.27, and she won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:38.80. Mazzetti placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:23.00
  • Senior Marissa Werner won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 28.37, and she was the runner-up in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:12.68
  • Senior Jaelyn Mitchell placed second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:17.02, and she was also the runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:01.53 and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:09.77
  • Freshman Nora Ronan took fourth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:53.09, and she finished sixth in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:42.77
  • Senior Sydney Steere finished fifth in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:24.62, and she took sixth in the 50-yard freestyle in 31.62 seconds. Steere placed fifth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:10.37
  • The Greyhounds 200-yard medley relay squad of Werner, Mazzetti, Mitchel and Steere placed second in a time of 2:11.87
