Three Field Hockey Players Ranked in Latest NCAA Stats

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three student-athletes on the Moravian College field hockey team are ranked in the latest NCAA Division III field hockey statistics released Tuesday.

Senior defender Stephanie Pezzello is ranked sixth in the nation in defensive saves with four. Pezzello has helped the Greyhounds achieve a 1.80 goals against average in five games.

Junior midfielder Chelsea Grotyohann is ranked 30th in the country in assists per game with 0.80. Grotyohann leads Moravian with eight points off of four assists and two goals.

Senior goalkeeper Catherine Gottlieb is 34th in Division III with a .800 save percentage and 47th with a 1.57 goals against average. Gottlieb is 2-2 while making 24 saves in 268 minutes played.

As a team the Greyhounds are ranked 19th in defensive saves (5), 23rd in assists per game (2.6) and 34th in save percentage (.809).

Moravian returns to action on Saturday, September 22nd as they travel to Landmark Conference foe The Catholic University of America. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
