Three Field Hockey Players Rank in Latest NCAA Stats

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three Moravian College field hockey players are ranked in the latest NCAA Division III statistics released Tuesday.

Senior defender Stephanie Pezzello is tied for third in the nation with nine defensive saves. She has helped the Greyhounds maintain a 2.17 goals against average through six games.

Senior goalkeeper Catherine Gottlieb ranks 16th in save percentage at .833, and she is tied for 26th with an average of ten saves per game. Gottlieb has a 2.07 goals against average while making 50 saves in 338 minutes of work this fall.

Junior midfielder Chelsea Grotyohann is tied for 37th in the country with 0.67 assists per game. Grotyohann has two goals and four assists in six games.

As a team, Moravian is tied for fifth in defensive saves (11), ninth in save percentage (0.84), 21st in saves per game (11.33) and tied for 24th in assists per game (2.33).

The Greyhounds return to action on Thursday, September 27th as they host Marywood University. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Betty Prince Field.
