Men's Tennis Competes at Scranton Invitational

SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team competed in the opening day of the non-scoring University of Scranton Invitational on Saturday.

Freshmen John Wylie and Matt Tuorto won their opening match in the first doubles flight with an 8-6 victory over Todd Doran and Evan Bolus from Marywood University.  Wylie and Tuorto would drop their second match to Michael Kranz and Connor Pekham from Wilkes University, 8-4.

Tuorto and Wylie each played in the first singles flight, dropping their opening round matches in straight sets.  Senior Brad Kutcha and junior Brian Welsko competed in the second singles flight for the Greyhounds while freshmen Dylan Morrow and C.J. Widdifield competed in the third singles flight.

Moravian will compete in the second day of the Scranton Invitational on Sunday, September 23rd with Wylie and Widdifield scheduled to compete in singles action.
