TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team has been picked to repeat as the Landmark Conference Championships in the 2020 coaches' preseason poll announced Wednesday.

The Greyhounds captured their fourth Landmark Conference title last May and first since 2011, and the squad also went on to earn the program's first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament victory. Director of Tennis Aaron Wilf led the squad to a 20-2 record in his first season in Bethlehem and returns his entire starting lineup this year.

The Hounds garnered six first-place votes and a total of 68 points in the Landmark Conference poll with The University of Scranton receiving the other two first-place tallies and 60 points. Elizabethtown College was picked third with 40 points while Goucher College rounded out the top half of the poll with 38 points.

"Our women had a great season last year which seems to be reflected in the preseason poll," commented Wilf. "Every season presents its own challenges, and we know how hard we will have to work to remain at the top. Unlike last year, we'll have the target on our back, and we know we are going to get everyone's best game each time out. I look forward to seeing how our team responds to these expectations as we pursue another championship."

Moravian, which was 5-1 during the 2019 fall season with the lone setback to NCAA Division I Lafayette College, is slated to begin the spring portion of its schedule on Saturday, March 14 with a match at The College of New Jersey beginning at 10:00 a.m. before facing Stevens Institute of Technology at 4:00 p.m. that afternoon. The Hounds are scheduled to start the 2020 Landmark Conference season on Saturday, March 21 at Elizabethtown.
