Kristen Cassidy and Mason Hudnall named as 2019-20 Tennis captains

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's and women's tennis teams have named juniors Kristen Cassidy and Mason Hudnall as team captains for the 2019-20 seasons.

Cassidy helped the women's team to a 20-2 record last season as the Greyhounds won the 2019 Landmark Conference Championship and earned the program's first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament victory. Cassidy is 17-1 in singles action and 23-10 in double play during her career, and she was selected to the 2018 Landmark All-Conference Second Team in doubles.

"We are pleased to name Kristen the captain of our women's tennis team," stated Director of tennis Aaron Wilf, who is entering his second season leading the Greyhounds. "Kristen has been such a valuable part of this program and she represents the very best of what a student-athlete should be. We know she will be essential in helping this team make another run at a championship this spring."

Hudnall, who missed the fall portion of the 2019-20 season with an injury, has recorded 14 singles victories and 13 doubles wins in his first two season with the Greyhounds.

"We are very excited to have Mason as the captain on our men's tennis team," Wilf said. "I can't find enough great things to say about him as he's really the right guy to be the leader of this group. We have a young team on the men's side and Mason will be instrumental in helping us develop this program."

Moravian's squads both begin the spring portions of their schedules on Saturday, March 14 with the women heading to The College of New Jersey for an 10:00 a.m. match and the men hosting Alvernia University in a non-conference contest at 1:00 p.m. on Hoffman Courts.
