TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore forward Sydney Anderson and senior goalie Brooke Wilkinson have been selected as the Landmark Conference Field Hockey Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week for their performances last week as the duo helped the Greyhounds to a pair of shutout victories.

Anderson had two goals and an assist in the two contests, beginning the week with an assist on the Hounds' lone goal in a 1-0 win at Immaculata University. Anderson then netted two of three goals in Moravian's 3-0 victory at Muhlenberg College as the Greyhounds defeated the rival Mules for the first time since 2013.

"Sydney has continued to build on her success from last season," noted Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple. "Her speed helps to create a lot of goalscoring opportunities for us. She's incredibly scrappy in the circle and has the ability to finish."

Wilkinson recorded a pair of shutouts in the cage to increase her career total to six shutouts. Wilkinson had one save, which happened to be the 100th of her career, in the victory at Immaculata, and she had three saves in the win at Muhlenberg.

"Brooke worked incredibly hard over the summer to put herself in the best place possible for the start of the season," Dalrymple said. "She has grown so much in her ability to communicate and influence the defensive structure. She's the backbone of our defense."

Moravian, which is 2-2 this season, is slated to return to action on Wednesday, September 14 in a non-conference match at Alvernia University beginning at 7:00 p.m.
