TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior goalie Brooke Wilkinson has been named the Landmark Conference Field Hockey Defensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Wilkinson helped Moravian to a 1-1 record last week as she recorded 13 saves for the week. She had a career-high 13 saves in a 3-0 loss at The College of New Jersey. Wilkinson, who earned her second Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week honor of the year, picked up her fourth shutout of the season and the ninth of her career in Moravian's 6-0 win over Drew University. The victory was Wilkinson's 18th to move her into a tie for fifth in program history.

"Brooke has been incredibly consistent in goal for us throughout the season," commented Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple. "With career high saves, and another shutout this week, she is very deserving of the honor."

Moravian, which is 5-7 overall and 2-1 in Landmark Conference contests, is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, October 12 in a Landmark Conference match at Elizabethtown College beginning at 4:30 p.m.
