DANIELSVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team opened the 2012 spring portion of its schedule in a tie for fifth place of 18 teams at the Annual Moravian Spring Invitational played at the Woodstone Country Club Thursday.
The Moravian College golf team closed out its 2011 Fall season by competing at the Centenary College Cyclone Invitational at the Panther Valley Country Club. The Greyhounds had just three golfers and did not record a team score in the tournament. Farmingdale State College won the tournament with a team score of 307.
The Moravian College golf team finished fifth of 11 teams at the Muhlenberg College Invitational played at the Lehigh Country Club Monday. The Greyhounds had a team score of 341 while Franklin & Marshall College won the tournament with a 326.

The Moravian College golf team placed fourth of 19 teams at the Elizabethtown College Fall Blue Jay Classic played on the East Course at the Hershey Country Club Thursday. The Greyhounds had a team score of 306 while Stevenson University won the tournament with an even 300. Messiah College took second with 301 while McDaniel College was third at 304.
The Moravian College golf team finished in a tie for seventh place at the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational played at the Lebanon Country Club Monday. The Greyhounds had a team score of 317 and were tied with Rutgers-Camden while Messiah College won with a team total of 301.
The Moravian College golf team placed second of 18 teams at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational played at the Bent Creek Country Club Monday. The Greyhounds fired a team score of 306, finishing one stroke behind the Diplomats' Blue squad. Albright College and Messiah College tied for third with team totals of 313.
The Moravian College golf team is third of eight teams after the first two rounds of the 2011-12 Empire 8 Conference Championship Tournament. The Greyhounds have a team score of 611 at the Yahnundasis Golf Club while St. John Fisher College is first at 591. Elmira College sits in second place with a team score of 605 while The University of Scranton is fourth at 614. The eight teams will finish the tournament with two rounds at the Hershey Country Club on April 21st & 22nd.
The Moravian College golf team opened the 2011-12 Empire 8 Conference Championship Tournament with a team score of 300 at the Yahnundasis Golf Club to put the Greyhounds in second place of eight teams. St. John Fisher College is in first place after the opening round with a 294 while Moravian leads The University of Scranton by a stroke and Elmira College by three strokes.
The Moravian College golf team hosted its annual Fall Invitational at Woodstone Country Club. Franklin & Marshall won the tournament with a team score 310 while the Moravian White Team was second with a 312 and the Greyhounds' Blue Team was 17th with a 377. Cameron Warner from F&M had a low individual round of 74 on the par 71 course. The course was shortened to 71 holes by playing the tenth hole as a par 3 due to wetness on the fairway.
St. John Fisher College begins its quest for back-to-back conference titles as the opening two rounds of the 2011-12 Empire 8 Men’s Golf Championship take place Saturday and Sunday at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford.
The Moravian College golf team opened its 2011-12 season by winning a tri-match hosted by Albright College at the par 71 Berkshire Country Club. The Greyhounds had a team score of 304 while the host Lions fired a 310 and Alvernia University had a 339.
Jessie Coughlin Milner; Jason Moran; Neil Pagotto; Harold Rice and David Griffith make up the class of 2011 that will be inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, November 4th in Johnston Hall. Also being honored at the 2011 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be Lisa Bechtel with the Robert Martin Herbstman Award and the 1994 golf team.
