Golf Finished 5th at Muhlenberg College Invitational

The Moravian College golf team finished fifth of 11 teams at the Muhlenberg College Invitational played at the Lehigh Country Club Monday. The Greyhounds had a team score of 341 while Franklin & Marshall College won the tournament with a 326.

Senior Scott Stires, pictured, led Moravian with a round of 83 on the par 70 course, which tied him for eighth place of the 54 golfers in the tournament. Senior John Dimler was tied for 17th with a round of 85 while junior Thomas Fenyak had an 86, which tied him for 23rd. Senior Sam Stires finished in a tie for 28th with an 18-hole total of 87 while junior Aaron Thieme was tied for 31st with an 89.

The Greyhounds will close out its 2011 fall season on Tuesday, October 18 at the Centenary College Cyclone Invitational.
