Holze Sets School Record in Doubles Wins But Men's Tennis Falls to Wilkes

EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. --- Senior Kevin Holze of the Moravian College men's tennis team broke the school record with his 42nd career doubles victory but it wasn't enough as the Greyhounds fell to Wilkes University, 7-2, in non-conference action Thursday.

The Colonels led 2-1 after the doubles action with Holze and senior Doug Morrow earning an 8-2 win at first doubles.  Holze now has a career doubles record of 42-30 while Morrow is sixth in school history with 38 doubles victories.

Holze would get Moravian's other point with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at first singles.  The win was Holze's 49th career victory, third in school history.  Morrow forced a third set at second singles before falling in a super tiebreaker.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 21 in a Landmark Conference match versus Goucher College beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts.  The Greyhounds can clinch their sixth straight postseason appearance with a victory.
