MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Moravian University sophomore pitcher Aaron Flyte has been selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for his performance last week.
Flyte posted a 1-0 record on the mound in a 5-0 week for the Greyhounds. He tossed six innings in relief, the longest outing of his career, in the Greyhounds' 6-5, 11-inning win at DeSales University. Flyte scattered a hit and two walks to go with three strikeouts, tying his career best. He also had one putout in the field.
"Aaron pitched a great game in relief," commented Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "He competed every pitch and forced the action. He was able to mainly spot up a good fastball and dictate the action. His relief innings were the difference in winning that game. Aaron has an incredible upside, and it is starting to show more consistently. A true team player, I know he'd share his success with his teammates."
