Greyhounds Top Juniata in Final Home Match of Regular Season at Hoffman Courts

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis defeated Juniata College, 7-2, in Landmark Conference action Saturday at Hoffman Courts as the Greyhounds celebrated Senior Day before their final home match of the 2021 regular season. 

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds swept the doubles action to build a 3-0 lead. Sophomore Andrew Hozza and freshman Steve Schneider were first off the courts with an 8-3 win at third doubles while the tandem of seniors Mason Hudnall and Sean Kearns posted an 8-3 win at second doubles. Sophomores Kieran Pisani and Justin Szaro completed the sweep with an 8-5 triumph at first doubles
  • Pisani pushed the Moravian advantage to 4-0 with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at second singles while Hudnall would have the clinching win at four singles as he won 6-0, 6-1. Hozza added a 6-1, 6-0 win at fifth singles while Schneider finished the match with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at sixth singles
  • Moravian honored both Hudnall and Kearns before the match
